About
Jill Hooiveld, BSW, MSW, RSW
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.
Reaching out for support takes courage, and it’s often one of the hardest — yet most empowering — steps you can take. Whether you're navigating a specific challenge or simply feeling overwhelmed, you're not alone, and I’m here to walk alongside you.
I'm a Registered Social Worker with both the BC College of Social Workers and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of the Fraser Valley and a Master of Social Work from the University of Waterloo. Since 2007, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals through a wide range of life’s ups and downs.

My background includes working in various health care settings such as emergency and acute care, long-term care, outpatient rehabilitation, and the BC Physician Health Program. I specialize in supporting clients with anxiety, depression, chronic stress, grief, trauma, ADHD, religious trauma and OCD.

I’m passionate about creating a safe, respectful, and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement. I work with adults (18+) and draw on evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy to tailor our work to your unique needs. Together, we’ll uncover the roots of your challenges, build practical tools to manage them, and help you reconnect with your most authentic self.

I offer secure online counselling for residents of British Columbia and Ontario and am a Certified Cyber Therapist. I'm also an approved service provider for First Nations Health Authority, ICBC and Blue Cross.

When you're ready, I'm here to support you.
